*Stainless Steel Stud Kit for exhaust manifold. All exhaust manifold studs are prone to severe rusting, heat distress,seizing, and breaking due to high exhaust temperatures. Our solution to this problem is The British Northwest stainless-steel-and-brass manifold stud kit. So troublesome are the standard studs that these are the only type we supply. While the three bottom studs typically snap off or rust away, the top four are often impossible to remove after years of service. Brass nuts resist galling of threads. Top and bottom kits combine to make the full set.

Mechanic's Note: No gasket or seal is supplied for the front exhaust pipe of petrol models where it joins the exhaust manifold. The pipe is supplied with a welded-on sealing ring, which over time may become crushed, distorted or burned through. Tighten front pipe fixings only enough to seal leaks, and replace pipe when seal can no longer be made.
