Roof / Rain gutter is mounted to a steel frame to limit distortion while hot dip galvanizing

The main roof panel being riveted to the Roof / Rain Gutter
After the Roof and rain gutter was riveted together , we used a sealant to prevent leakage
The beginning of what makes the Carawagon so special . Virtually the entire roof assembly is being reconstructed , as well as a few improvements

Externally mounted Battery box for 2nd battery:

Battery will be protected with this custom made steel box .
The battery cables will not go thru the box, but these nice brass studs will be used as a junction for the cables to contact on either side .
Here is a Trial fit of the battery box.

Transmission is in:

This Genuine Land-Rover Transmission was a factory rebuild till we got a hold of it. We have installed a brand new Santana overdrive and we had to go thru the main  box because it wasn't up to snuff . This unit straight from the factory had quite a few finger loose bolts and nuts , and a very noisy reverse gear. we fixed those problems and as you can see we have finally installed it.

Tires:

We have assembled a set of  wheels for the restoration which will include 2 spare Wheels. Brand new 16" rims painted original Limestone color fitted with brass valve stems for durability , the tires are Michelin.

Tire specs:

Michelin 4x4 O/R  7.50 r 16" Radial X
