* The early brake systems on all land-rover drum-brake systems are highly susceptible to brake fade due to boiling of the brake fluid. Perhaps you may recognize this as a brake system which suddenly "goes soft" after an extended period of stressful braking. This is due to the brake fluid's boiling. (the boiling fluid creates air bubbles, which are compressible) British Northwest Land-Rover has two solutions to this potentially deadly dilemma.
