This exceptional machine is one of the many superlative machines which is characteristic of the caliber of workmanship for which British Northwest is so well known. Formerly under restoration for a grateful client who died suddenly, we have completely rebuilt the entire drive line including engine, gear box, axles, and added all new road springs, shock absorbers, a new wiring harness, and new or rebuilt engine peripherals throughout. Much of the body work has been completed and is now ready for blocking and painting. A number of the body components have been pre-sprayed in the original color, which is the factory Marine Blue. The vehicle is entirely correct and proper throughout, with all original components such as SOLEX carburetor, LUCAS dynamo and charging system, SMITHS and JAEGER instrumentation, etc. The sheet metal work is exceptionally correct and straight, with only a light skimming of plastic here and there. Rust is minimal and the entire machine is destined for bringing back to showroom original condition. Long enough to camp in and suited for everything from the tropics to the arctic, this Land-Rover is easily capable of soldiering on well into the twenty-first century. This is also from what I consider Land-Rover's golden years: the machines featuring the banjo spoke steering wheel, dual screen wiper motors, elephant hide seats...the height of Spartan simplicity and invincible durability.
